long weekend entry!

I spent my yesterday gazing my eyes into my samsung monitor again. At this rate I am going, I think I can find myself a Justice of Peace to solemnize our wedding already.

Anyway, yesterday is so the last holiday we will have till our motherland’s birthday in August. But it was fabulous! Nothing beats having to laze around on a blue, moody monday. I spent much precious time on my own at home, clearing out extra space for my closet and dumping a huge amount of empty bottles and tubs of eye cream, toner etc and re-arranging my masks supplies. I have a bad habit of keeping empty bottles to remind myself what brands I had used and also to recycle and refill them with other stuff but of course that hardly happen since the next new stuffs I buy will come in their own packaging too.

And so one thing led to another when all I wanted was to find a mascara I bought a month back, then I couldn’t stand the mess, then my mind lingered to a missing pouch then to a dress and then the rest is pretty much history. All these actually ended close to 3am!

NaNa loves her weekends! Especially when angel boy is around!

My recent weekends had been nothing but enjoyable! How I wish everyday will be like that. Last weekend I met up with my gurlies .. and oh last Friday, May and I finally visited our princess licia and her lil prince Yao Yang! Had been wanting to blog about it! Babies are just damn adorable and their porcelain skin!!! Augghhhh envious! His tiny lil hand held on so tightly on my fingers and believe me, I wanted to have a kid at that very moment lor wahahaha.

vivo-ing!

Angel boy and I went vivo-ing on friday night and that made me an uber happy nana girl!

He msn me during noon and told me he will be fetching me from work! Hooray! We decided to vivo cos the biggest PLC(Pets Lovers Centre) was there! Of course the food choices are aplenty there and it is a good mall to waste time since it is large enough.

oh so boring week!

Friday was a oh-so-boring night! Initially plan to meet up with Tom, Kel and Jil but I sorta flew them kite when I was arrowed to attend the gala dinner of the Asia Outdoor Advertising Award 2007.

I hate sucha situations cos first, I aint anyone of top management and asking us to PR among rich and damn successful people is a horrifying experience. Secondly, nice food are meant to be savoured slowly sitting down, not standing up. It was a gala buffet of fine dining food and nice wine and the purpose of standing up is oh well, to mingle and social around. Eventually I stuck around the same corner whacking liquor and being quiet, secretly hoping everything will be ended soon.

Is sweet, sweet temptations like these that takes a lot more determination to say no.

And sadly, I dont have such strong determination.

The answer is pretty obvious ….

I caved in and burrrrrrrrrrrrrp.

I am so FULL but shiok.

The doughnuts are surprisingly delicious with unique flavours.

Diets are as tough as trying to reach out for the stars in the sky.

I aint gonna be slim yet.

I know I know, looking at the time that displays this entry, I should be in bed. I should be adhering to my own strict regulations but a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do, aint it? And for me, despite sounding so damn vainpot and ridiculous, I just had to do my mask hahaha.

Every Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sun are devoted to facial masks. Masks are my bestest, bestest friends who doesnt need to breathe and yet soothe and relax me the most. Nonsensical I know but I will literally die without my masks, so I follow my schedule no matter how late I am even if it meant breaking a few laws of mine here and there.

I know facebook is the new in thing now but I figured out I am way too old for such things. I am good with friendster and msn now. Not exactly interested until I manage to find free time to explore it okaaaay? Currently I am way too lazy to borther about such stuff, so friends dont borther to add me, really. I am not into fancy stuff despite the hooha and raving about additional perks you can have in facebook.

I very auntie one, my hp till now always default ringing tone! I never borther to change ringing tones, download music or whatever shite. And that applies to all the hp I used to have too. To me can pick up, can call out, can sms can liao loh! So friendster ok liao dont need so many new things. Perhaps one day I might jump into the bandwagon but at least not for the time being.

Be in The Line.

2 years since I been there. Always wanted to go with Ah Jiao but somehow or rather, we never make it. This time round, I am again embraced with the ambience of cheery orange and yummy food! The line is really the mama of all buffets!

It was angel boy’s mama birthday last Sunday, although we had dinner courtesy of her but both angel boy and I decided to bring her to The Line this evening since she had always been a fan of hotel buffets. Auntie Lily(Jonas’s mum) and angel boy’s younger bro joined us too! Come to think of it, the whole affair was so homely! I dont even get to have such dinners with my own family. Wanted to bring grandmama and mama out for dinner on Sat but hai … my grandmama felt it was a waste of money and hence plans were shelved again.

Anyhow, food was great! The noodles, siew mai & crepe = DISTINCTION! Though at $80 per pax is considered damn ex, The Line is forever packed. Weekdays or weekends, they are always packed. Good money! I bet they are earning a lot!

It was a good dinner! Was glad auntie love the bag and wallet I bought too! Angel boy is a good boy, he spent so much today but he made 4 of us so damn full and happy. Must reward him soon! This meal definitely brought a smile to my day! It was a great feeling to dine with his family, do a lil bit of bonding haha!

By the way, check these cakes out! I aint sure if they are tasty, but they sure looked so pretty!!!! The cakes served at the buffet were rather delicious, not too sure if their bakery cakes were just as nice but they looked too pretty to be eaten, arent they??

Month of May, Month of Money

After dunno how many millions, thousands and hundreds attempts, I finally accomplished mission impossible.

I managed to spring a series of surprises which made my boy so glad!!!!

He is one tough nut to crack. He hates surprises cos he doesnt like the feeling of not knowing anything in advance. And if you are preparing to purchase a gift for him, he is those sort who prefers to be practical and tells you what he wants instead. Decision maker he is!!

And so everytime either he gets pissed or disappointed with my lousy attempts and we had been living by the bring-each-other-out-to-buy-present theory ever since.

Basking In Happy,Happyness!

 It is pouring heavily now. Very sudden downpour, hmmm… count myself lucky I am not outside.

At home on a Saturday despite the intentions to meet my princess lol. Plus I am really aching all over lah! I was working as a coolie for over 6 hours loh moving around 500 over items here and there! My bones are so breaking apart! Sorry dear! I know you will forgive me for being a pig and also not wanting to mix around with your friends.

I had been sucha pig! I salute myself sometimes. Embarrassing as it is but haha I can sleep so long!! Like my princess and my boy say, a real pig doesnt even sleep so long hurhurhur.

You see I slept around 3am last night over at my boy’s place and I woke up today around 3pm. 12 whole hours and I was forced to wake up not cos I wanted to. He had to work and so I had to wake up. I reached home thereafter around 5pm and I was feeling so sleepy I crashed again around 6pm and woke up around 930pm. Hahahahaha! Incredible hor? Sleep 12 hours liao still can crash loh!

Sleeping is a joy! My weekend MUST DO!

Anyhow, I wanna take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to those who sent me their warmest wishes on my birthday. Well, not all read this lil humble space of mine but still those who get to see this, THANKS A MILLION!

Year after year, these people doesnt give up on this friend and remembers her birthday. Everyone is right, I am a fortunate bitch. I have a group of friends who really love me, a wonderful boyfriend and of course a good family. I dont have a high rise salary job to boost or a big bungalow but I are filthy rich! Rich in terms of strong friendship!

I always believe that true friends are hard to come by. And you dont have to have so many! If ever you can find just one, it would be a miracle already. A true friend who stands by your side, who believes in your dreams, who will always be supporting you no matter what.

I am fortunate I managed to find both my princesess, then along came my Ah Jiao, then my lovelies. I told my boy I had this equation:

3 lovelies + 2 princesses + 1 Ah Jiao = Happy NaNa!

And it so coincidently sums up 321 also my birthddate! He asks me where is he in this equation then? Haha. He is of a different level of course. He is my essesntial factor in my life already!

My point is, I am not only loved by this wonderful 6 angels, I have my Pink Pussies who love me just as much! 6 of them, Lynn, Yvonne, Angela, Siew Ching, Jasmine & PatPat being in Hongkong for their incentive trip called me on my birthday via long distance call and sang me a Happy Birthday song. So sweet hor???

My boy was telling me how lucky I am. Sure enough I am. Of course not forgetting all those smses that came in on my birthday. Thank you, thank you!

Lastly, to my boy who will always be there for me on this special day, thanks sweetheart! I am so blessed to have you! My dearest touched down around 7am and we slept till 3pm haha! We headed out toVivo to purchase my pressie but they didnt have stocks. I was hungry and he actually read my mind again! I was craving for Bakerzinn loh! Their cakes and pasta is damn yummy lah!

To think we had a reservation at 7pm for dinner and we were savouring our pasta and cake at 430pm hahaha! I didnt have anything since I woke up mah!

My boy made a reservation at My Secret Garden, a place I always wanted to try. He gave me a few choices and I decided on My Secret Garden which was located in Waterloo Street, a few units away from Indochine Waterloo.(few years back) As it was also a dinner to celebrate our 7 years anniversay, I naturally chose that place. Waterloo was the place we both gotten to know each other and our love blossomed.

After a visit to Sim Lim where I finally gotten my pressie, hooray! We strolled down to
Waterloo, was albeit too early but we still manage to find space for our tummy haha. Ordered some appetizers and sipping to my hoegarden with him my by side, BLISS!

The place was beautiful and romantic. Food was good and the triple choc cake with ice cream is a MUST HAVE! So yummy I am drooling now just thinking of it. I want eat that again!

I dont need any special surprises which I know he is capable of. All I wanted was something simple, something heartwarming. A simple dinner is good enough for me. I enjoyed myself so much! After dinner, we strolled down to the place where Indochine used to be and memories started to overflow! Thanks to that place I found my true love.

He had wanted to bring me to Indochine Club Street for more drinks butI declined cos I wanted to rush home and play my new toy haha! Very fun! I love my pressie a lot, I love my boy a lot too!

Life is simple for me but indeed beautiful! Simplicity has its beauty too!
