My Blog. My Space. My Place.

a home finally.

I just purchased the most exspanksive item in my whole life. Perhaps not 100% mine yet but this lil space will be housing angel boy, myself and our dearest precious Goh Boy Boy. The lil space we call home.

Nothing extravagant, no condo, no private property, just the perfect location and size I am satisfied with. But still, it came with a hefty price tag in which I probably have to slogged the rest of my life with.

The project takes another 3 years to complete but the saving plan will kick in as immediate as it can be. Not that we haven’t start at all but a good sum of more money will definitely comes in handy especially we both have certain liking towards quaint and classy designing and furnishings which of course doesn’t come by cheap for poor blokes like us.

This is such a huge step of responsibility for me. For the next few years or so, I probably have to ask myself thrice if I need to splurge on anything unnecessary. Cos at the end of the day, I want my home to be perfect having all the essentials I always wanted and that will so be the priority rather than shopping expenses.

But that doesn’t deter me from having my occasional enjoyable shopping sprees and holiday trips. It is afterall my human rights hahaha I just have to learn how not to yield to temptations so frequently. I can’t afford to lead a frivolous life anymore, have to step up on getting on my feet more.

Having said so, I think I will just cry if I really have to move out from my parents. Yes I know, not all believe hahaha especially when they knew how I spent my time at my house with my family BUT I really think having to stay with parents is damn shiok.

So with this upcoming nana nest project, it also meant I need to be getting hitched soon! I didn’t really expect to announce all of these here, it feels kinda weird. This blog definitely depicts my high and low journeys.

But poor thing me, I don’t have the luxury to experience the kneel-down-will-you marry-me romantic proposals in fact we mutually agreed on the apartment and went ahead with it and only proceeded to communicate on the wedding plans after we purchased the apartment. Typical Singaporean ain’t we? Apartment first, wedding later. Lucky for him, I am no fuss! And we had been long enough together for such formality. Anyway I had striked a deal with him to exchange a proposal ring for a Sealy mattress haha my dream!!!!! Me no love diamond, me love to sleep.

We still have more than 2 years to plan so it won’t be happening so fast. Besides I won’t have a yum seng meet all the nosey relatives banquet or the cheesy and corny photoshoots(no offence, just a personal thought on my end) so I have in fact lotsa time. I want a low key affair, the lower the better. If I have a choice, I wish I can do it without the relatives too. I want it fast, over and done with. It is not every girls’ dream to have white, flowy gown or fantasy like wedding ceremonies. I just happen to be one of those. I’ll say … to each his own so don’t preach me.

I just hope my parents will give the green light in allowing me the way I want it to be. Of course, which parents doesn’t want to see their kids marry off lavishly? But having a recalcitrant person as a daughter, I most probably think I can walk away scott free lol. I am sure they will understand me cos ultimately which parents wanna see their kids unhappy too? I hope angel boy’s side will agree too. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Like my lovelies say, they can’t imagine me with ladylike gown and taking wedding photos lol. Don’t worry, I can’t imagine it myself too. I prolly scare myself off first.

This is so the time I can feel I am getting old.

Out.
